[NU Sports] NU Sports News Digest for 1/15

The crowd mics (at least the ones I noticed) were in the 200 level of the purple preferred section, which is generally sedate.  They probably pick up a lot of the opposing team fans in the 300 section who do make a lot of noise.  
 
I'm guessing they don't want the mics close to the students so as to avoid the occasional "bulls*&t" and "a**hole"  chants I heard Saturday.

NU kept the Wiscy fans very quiet until Tucker got going and a dunk or two got
the guys in red fired up.

All told, NU had a decent contingent, but I don't think the crowd mics were near
the students - at one break you couldn't even hear the band.
