I agree with Mark about the basketball game last week.  Not only was it
a well-played game but it was also a fun game to attend.  The stands
were full with fans for both teams.  The crowd was really into the game.
At one point in the second half, Scott got entangled with a player from
Wisconsin for a long time after play had gone to the other end.  Neither
player was charged with a foul but both the Wisconsin fans and the NU
fans were outraged.  The Wisky fans started booing every time Scott got
the ball.  The NU fans started booing every time the UW player got his
hands on the ball.  It was good-natured and fun.  That type of game is
the reason why we have tickets.  Sure, NU lost but the game was exciting
all the way to the end.  NU had an opportunity to win it at the end
against one of the best teams in the nation.  What more could you want
other than a win.  

No one complained about the Princeton offense either.  The style of play
had little to do with the excitement of the game.  NU played well on
both sides of the court.  It bodes well for the rest of the year and
especially for next year.  The team is showing great improvement as the
year goes on.  It may not show in the won-lost column but it does show
on the court.
