[NU Sports] It's a basic rule of Football Defense

Which "him"? Castillo? I heard his name a couple of times, although I
must have missed the NU reference. I was in and out of the room during
the game.

Having never had my "own" NFL team to root for (having grown up in
Detroit and then refused to adopt any of the Chicago teams because of
their rivalries with their Detroit counterparts), I became a Colts fan
very quickly when I moved down here to Indy. Between a Colts fan's
dislike of the Patriots and having had LaDanian Tomlinson in my fantasy
league all year, I kept forgetting that I was supposed to be rooting
*for* the Patriots in order to bring the AFC Championship game back to
Indianapolis.

Back on an NU note, Ulrich has gotten some quality PT with the Colts
this year and his name mentioned favorably during a couple of
broadcasts, including, if I remember correctly, the Monday Night game
(national broadcast) against the Bengals a few weeks ago.

And back to Roy's original point: I've always wondered that myself. Is
it that d-backs are so conditioned to go for the interception? You'd
think that would be, as you state, one of the most basic conditional
situations for the defensive secondary. It's one thing if a linebacker
forgets that, but for a d-back, especially on a long throw, it should be
automatic to be cognizant of the down.
