[NU Sports] slightly OT: USC kicker found dead

USC kicker Mario Danelo was found dead at the bottom of a 120 foot cliff
on the Pacific Ocean.

The police appear to have ruled out foul play but it is not clear if this
was an accident or a suicide.

Danelo set the NCAA single season record for PAT attempts and PATs made
during the 2005 season, and had kicked two field goals in USC's defeat of
Michigan.

The new year is starting out rather tragic in sports.
