I am not an Irish fan, but I do not think that ND only played 2 decent teams and 10 hacks. Be careful who you call hacks (we play these so called "hacks" regularly).
I assume the decent teams were:
- Michigan
- USC
They also played:
- Penn State
- Georgia Tech
- UCLA
- Michigan State
- Purdue
By your logic Ohio State played a crapped schedule as well. 2 decent teams (Texas and Michigan) and 10 hacks. This may not be too far from the truth and I think clearly explains why Florida will beat OSU on Monday night.

The bowl season is a complete success (at least for some of us)
Charlie Weis and Co. have just been kicked from one side of New Orleans to the other
9 consecutive bowl losses is an NCAA record (I think)
And the 9 losses come by a total of 159 points (almost 18 points per game)
Eventually, normal viewers are going to tire of arrogant press conferences, followed by 20-point defeats, and tune-in in lesser numbers. Maybe the BCS will wake up some day and decree that a schedule of 2 decent teams and 10 total hacks is not acceptable for participating in the BCS.
Til then, we'll just have to console ourselves with the fact that the 41-14 score was not indicative of the talent gulf between these two teams (it should have been more like 45-7), or between the evil empire, and good programs.
