I dunno why (probably because it was SC and Texas),
but I never really put that one above the earlier
"classics" like the '84 Orange Bowl or the OSU-Miami
Fiesta Bowl. Maybe because it seemed like SC choked
with that 4th down at the end, or that you just knew
Vince was going to run that last one in.

I agree with those who say that since the stakes
weren't as high as the 1 vs. 2 of the Rose or OSU's
Fiesta win that it isn't the "greatest." But those
games didn't have this small school vs. big school
underdog aspect ... nor did they have the big lead by
David, then Goliath taking control only for David to
pull out a miracle finish aspect. So I'd say that
while it might not have been the greatest game, in
terms of amazing finishes or thrilling aspects, the
2007 Fiesta Bowl is tough to beat.
