Computers have nothing to do with it now that the BCS
bowls are set. It's just that wonderful human factor
that was so fickle the final few weeks of this year.
The coaches must go with the BCS title game winner,
the AP is free to vote on their own.
I'd like to see Boise State get #2 in one of the two
polls. But don't forget that there's a 1-loss
Wisconsin and (if they win tonight) Louisville team
ahead of 'em, as well as the powerful 2-loss teams of
USC and (if they win ... and please let them win ...
let them win big) LSU. But justice would have Boise
State #2 at the end if OSU wins their game.
Just a great game. It had the supreme underdog aspect
of our win in South Bend in '95 ... it had the
improbability against the game clock of Michigan '96
... and it had the wild excitement of Michigan '00. I
didn't give 'em a shot but I was absolutely thrilled
at Boise State's win and am sure they'll enjoy it for
a long time.
And I hope their coach learns from his predecessor
(how was that year in Boulder, eh?) and stays put!!!
Go Big Ten!
GO CATS!!!
