 From the article: "...the Big Ten is considering adding more league 
games (it currently has eight)...."  Jim Delaney has stated and we've 
discussed before how it is mathematically impossible to have nine league 
games in an 11-team league, so the only possible way to add more games 
is to go to a full ten-game slate.  The upside: no disputes over who is 
the best team or who had the easier schedule because everyone plays 
everyone.  The downside: fewer non-conference games, thus discouraging 
good national matchups like dOSU-Texas, which are already few and far 
between.  Those two potential wins become a lot more important.
