Maybe I might be alone, but I actually liked the shorter games.

Even as much as I enjoyed the 54-51 Michigan game it felt like it was 
way too long.

Since they won't reduce the TV timeouts I think a way needs to be 
found to keep it a 3 hour game vs. a 4 hour game.  Don't just punish 
the band by shortening half-time.

Looks like those STUPID clock changes are gone! And
although they still haven't tackled the real culprits
of long games (interminable TV timeouts ... sometimes
even when there's no live TV!), their game-shortening
solution this year is at least more exciting
(lengthening kickoffs = more returns).

Dunno if that bodes well for NU, though, with our poor
special teams lately on kickoffs ... though our return
game has been decent.
