Mike may cut me off, but I have to respond to this one.  Someone called me a 
"right wing nut," but other than that I have read nothing her on the Dohrn 
or Lee topics that has in any way been bad-mannered or rude unless you 
define disagreement as inherently disrespectful.  Football season is months 
away, the signings are over, the basketball team is once more hardly worth 
mentioning except negatively, and there has yet to be another NU sport that 
has cultivated extensive interest within this group.  We have discussed the 
Brandon Lee issue, in the past Northwestern's participation on the College 
Bowl, and holocaust deniers, etc. and they have nothing to do with sports 
per se.  Ergo, why should intelligent, well educated alums and other 
interested parties NOT take time to discuss a Northwestern faculty member 
and the issues surrounding her?  If we can't, who can?  If that be bad 
manners, God help us.
