I understand your point, but I suspect the University has a set of
guidelines for admission that is probably stricter than it's guidelines for
hiring.  It very well could be that Brandon Lee left on academic terms that
would make it very difficult for him to get back in at least as an
undergrad.  I also suspect that any kid with a police record is going to
have a tough time getting into NU.

Ms. Dohrn, on the other hand has a particular political point of view to
support her police record and clearly the University feels that her view is
valuable enough to pay her to share it with students.

If NU 's  law school can  put someone like Bernardine Dohrn on its faculty,
giving tBrandon Lee a second chance in view of how he has changed should be
an easy call.
