I disagree.  The problem is not the "what."  The problem is the "who."  It 
is in talent that Bill Carmody has failed.  If Horton ever came to the NU 
campus, he would never hear a quality "who" on the basketball team.  Take 
Illinois' Vince Carter.  I doubt he will ever play in the NBA, but I cannot 
recall in my 43 years of experience with Northwestern basketball that they 
EVER had a player of his caliber.  If the Princeton system is guilty of 
turning away quality recruits, then dump it, but I'm dubious that is the 
problem.  Dropping Carmody is to fire a man who in every other regard is 
ideal for Northwestern.  Then you have to answer that eternal question, "Who 
replaces him?"   Nonetheless, it's an issue with which our AD must soon 
deal.
