[NU Sports] Stanford Recruits

The local paper here in SF lists Stanford as getting only 2 new  recruits 
from the midwest--one  is a TE , Coby Fleener,from Joliet  Catholic and another 
lineman , from Iowa--both are about 6'5"-6'6"--I  suspect we cross paths with 
them many times and not sure how much of  a  difference a new coach hurts,(or 
helps) though of course Harbaugh has strong  mid-west roots.The article 
mentions that  at least a few kids were  reconsidering their decision in light of the 
change in coaches, but were  convinced to stay.  (Although I would be curious 
if anyone else has a  feel about how often Stanford is a recruiting rival)  
 
 While I assume we are pretty ethical in our recruiting speeches, we  can 
certainly suggest that Stanford's program has lacked stability the past  several 
years, while we are looking at a long tenure for Fitz, and have in the  recent 
past stuck with our leaders.
