It's been dead as door knobs here lately. I'll bite. Anyone think that
Coble and Nash's return will help? As infrequent as we've played lately, the
team seems to have shaken the poor Brown game, and now will get some needed
depth. The Penn State game is big for both teams, as conference wins will be
difficult.
However, I see Wisconsin and Mich St. as the only games where we have
little chance. Illinois probably will catch fire at some point, but it hasn't
happened yet. Purdue looks decent, but then you have Iowa, Michigan,
Minnesota, Penn St. and even Indiana and Ohio St. could be had. I see plenty of "W"
opportunities this winter.
As well as scoring a few points, maybe Kevin can get some rebounds. As
usual, we're getting killed on the boards.
Coach Roy: A public "Thanks" for your efforts. Hope to see a post of
your's soon.
Football: Watching The Motor City Bowl and The Champs Bowl has made me
ill. What if? I'm still not convinced that if we beat Duke and all other
results remain the same, we still may sit at home. When Mich. St. and Indiana
pulled upsets the last week-end of the season, I think we may have been the
"odd man out ', even at 7-5. Indiana goes since it's been 11 years
since their last bowl, Mich. St. beats Penn St,; they certainly deserve to go,
and Purdue finishes 7-5 and beat NU. Cats sit home at 7-5, or would they have
received an at-large bid over a 6-6 team? Doubtful because of all the
tie-ins. Now THAT would have sucked.
Not ready to digest 2008 yet. Time to sit back and enjoy the bowls as
now they eally get going.

GO CATS!! NIT or bust! Eric
