Orlando? Who needs Orlando - been there, done that in
1997 and those early morning NUMB rehearsals were
still friggin' humid. Think WEST ... beautiful vistas,
plentiful sunshine and no friggin' humidity (or those
darn mosquitoes that accompany friggin humidity).:)

I was hoping we'd make PHOENIX this year, with
Pasadena next year, of course! Incidentally, Phoenix
will also be hosting a Big Ten team that we beat in
Indiana. UGH so close!

MSU-BC is turning out to be a pretty interesting game
(and compared to the rest of the bowl games so far, a
defensive struggle:) ). MSU runs so well and can't
pass while BC is the opposite.

I was glad to see that at least one writer (NU alum
Stewart Mandel, who writes a great column for SI.com)
at least acknowledged that these bowl matchups really
mean little for conference superiority, no matter how
much ESPN wants to hype its trophy. The Champs Bowl is
a good example, as MSU snuck in on the bottom of the
Big Ten slate while BC was in the ACC title game and
the league's #1 or #2 team most of the season.

So nice to see we're holding our own in Orlando ...
especially seeing how we'll need some good news with
our last three games looking like ugly mismatches on
the virtual home field of our opponent.

Go Big Ten!
GO CATS!!!
