Can someone tell me why this is even being discussed?

"Illinois' current contract with the IHSA ends after the 2010 season..."

2008 is in Evanston
2009 is in Champaign (14 November)
2010 is in Evanston

There is no conflict under the current contract.  Anything that happens in 2011 or beyond is outside of the scope of the current contract.

THIS IS NOT A NEWS ITEM.  

I submit that the new Northwestern AD should impress on the University of Illinois that Northwestern will not yield for the sake giving the U of I a recruiting advantage.  If the U of I is unable to provide facilities the day the game is scheduled, then the location of the game should be moved, not the date of the game.

Bah humbug.
