Maybe its because you were around practices a lot, but I was never able to get
credentials, primarily because I was considered to be running a "fan site." I
tried several times to be credentialed just so I could call in to the
teleconference and eventually get some interns working NU sports. 

As an NGN member, I was tagged with the booster label, something you can never
remove, according to the NCAA. When Chris was working NU recruiting hard, he had
few restrictions, but Rick Taylor made it very clear to me in several e-mails
that NU considered me a booster. At the time it wasn't that big a deal because
we had other recruiting gurus working and I concentrated on the actual team
sports.

In any case, I have too many other things on my plate. Maybe someone else will
find a way to revive PR, but they'll probably be an outsider or someone the
media guys consider "serious."
