[NU Sports] thanksgiving weekend games

are great for everybody but the kids and coaches, who
miss out on family time during the holidays.

This is especially true at NU with its national
student body; athletes from distant places won't get
home.

That's a shame; screw TV and the polls and the BCS,
the kids should come first. I can see the bye week
helping the kids, but didn't the coaches and players
all agree that they did NOT want to play over
Thanksgiving? Looks like ESPN is more important.

Also, travel over Thanksgiving is very expensive and
difficult; I traditionally attend the final NU game
and come from Philadelphia -- that will be difficult
now.

Grumble. I don't like this.
