Good stuff about the Big 10 playing the week-end of Thanksgiving. I can see
the rationale of ending the week-end before Thanksgiving with an 11 game
schedule, but with 12 games, it's become a necessity. Even the pros have a
bye week in their schedule.
I can see Illinois-Northwestern becoming a "big" game. I'm surprised
there wasn't some sort of statistic floating around stating "...this is the
first time in_____years that both teams entered the game over .500 this late into
the season."
Listers have said that a late start and a late end may help attendance.
While this may be true, i'd rather start Labor day weekend and take the week
off; I think it does Fitz and the team a world of good in so many ways.
I also believe that ending a week later will result in all of us doing
better in our bowls. More on that later.
I do have a question. With bye weeks, does this mean we will be on
ESPN/ESPN2/ABC more often? (or ESPN Classic/ESPN U. ) Assuming that there are
fewer games to "bump" us to BTN, it stands to reason that we may be seen on the
ABC/ESPN family more often.
2008: Anyone see the ending of our season? Michigan, Ohio St. and
Illinois. YIKES!!!

             GO CATS!!! Eric
