[NU Sports] Defensive Coordinator

Keep in mind that Johnson first made a name for himself at Georgia State,
winning a couple of national championships in Division I-AA, before going to
Navy, so it's going home in many respects.

 

I think the sorriest performance in collegiate athletics the last few weeks
have been the Ads at Michigan and Arkansas.  It's obvious that UM doesn't
hire football coaches very often because they sure don't know how to run a
search - a more botched job I haven't seen this side of Fayetteville.  Just
how many people will turn down both jobs before the schools will find
somebody to take them.  It may speak volumes about not just the pressure
associated with both fan bases, but the state of the facilities at each
school (both are in need of substantial upgrade) and the difficulty of
having a next door neighbor/archrival who has been dominating the conference
of late.
