[NU Sports] Bowl Networks

I've looked at satellite services, their offerings are just as spotty as Comcast
with more off the wall channels [things I never watch] and things like the
history channel in some mysterious higher tier. [My son has Direct TV]
I thought about getting one of the satellite companies just for my HDTV, but
half the channels we watch regularly were not on the basic offering, altho the
Big 10 Network [all 3 or 4 channels] was.
AT&T's FIOS service will be the best of the bunch, once they get it wired in
more places. I think it's being offered with a fair amount of on demand
capability but it can also wind up the same as Comcast, taking a wide range of
niche channels and putting them in the basic package, saving the ones people
want for the higher [read more expensive] tier.
Comcast's On-Demand service does provide the ability to repeat certain CBS
shows, the HBO and Showtime on demand is a much better source of movies since
you can stop and start them.
One last thought - Comcast seems to have a pretty good tie-in with CBS. You have
to wonder if they're pulling some strings in the back room of Comcast to limit
stuff on cable that CBS doesn't carry?
