[NU Sports] Maybe the Big Ten ...

Not to speak for Steve, but this year you could have predicted the weekly
rankings by throwing dice as well as you could pick the rankings of teams.

For some reason the upset bug was running wild on Saturdays this year. As we got
to the end of the season, you got the feeling that unless Ohio State lost to
Michigan, they were going to jump into the title game because the TV guys
couldn't believe that last year's #1/#2 game was such a blowout.

Plus, all we heard was how the Big 10 was down this year, yet all but one team
was technically bowl eligible. Makes me wonder what they're drinking [or
smoking] in the sports departments these days.

If you are a conspiracy theorist, you might think that the TV guys have a 10
year plan to force the NCAA to put in a playoff, after all they all have picks
in the polls, right?
