[NU Sports] Bowl Networks

Actually, I don't think there is a "legal" right to have TV programs delivered
to you. You have the right to receive said broadcasts subject to existing laws,
etc.

What Comcast is scared of is each BCS conference with a 6 channel network
demanding space on their cable system's lower [say free] tiers. While the Big 10
is a decent draw in the Midwest, the ACC's lower ranked games would be as
appetizing in Chicago as NU-Indiana is in Baltimore.

Yes, there are 1,000 channels, more or less, on most digital cable systems
today, but start adding 4 or 5 channels at $1 per month per subscriber and your
cable bill will be around $800 per month - just a little excessive don't ya
think?

No I don't work for Comcast, but I can see where they're headed. Put the sports
networks up on a $10 or $15 per month college sports tier and see who
subscribes. The same for the news channels, or the global warming propaganda
channel [used to be the Weather Channel]. The original concept was an ala carte
selection method for channels anyway. But the cable guys had to bundle channels
to get folks to take some of the more obscure channels.

TBS and a few others used to be neat, but now they are wall to wall commercials,
with barely 5 minutes of programming in between.

I personally watch about 15 channels and would watch the Big 10 net if it was
available, I might even pay extra to get the NFL and Big 10 channel if they cut
my rate and let me dump off the redundant news and shopping channels.

But then they make money off the shopping channels, don't they.
