My point exactly.
Whether it is "fair" to associate Mr. Quayle gaff with the perception that he
didn't know how to spell isn't the issue. He will be forever the poster boy
for the perceived shortcomings of an under qualified overindulged upper
class.
Similarly, there have probably been many instances of flagrant job hunting by
coaches (e.g. Neuheisel) and other public figures over the past decade, but
Gary Barnet continues to wear the albatross of being an unfaithful job
hopper, even though he hung in for six fairly tumultuous years at CU.

The sad thing is that potatoe is a recognized alternative spelling, and Mr.
Quayle was reported to be "set up" by someone with the spelling...
HOWEVER!!!! St. Gary AKA Hamlet kept shopping and campaigning for a new job
after the Rose Bowl, altho he really got hot after the loss to Tennessee the
next year.
Ron V got crosswise at Maryland because his kids didn't think they had to go
to class.
Whomever Dr. Beinen gets, I hope he embodies the positive energy we've had
from Mr. Murphy. The Pack's gain is our loss - now its time to go get another
one...
