We'll have to see what happens tomorrow (hopefully the voters have more sense
than to buy the company line and ESPN's campaigning for LSU), but an LSU-OSU
game would really make the whole system look like a joke.
But I suppose if #2 can fall out of the title game despite not even playing,
then #7 can somehow leap into the title game despite a sluggish win and three
teams ahead of them NOT LOSING!

Ugh - what a joke!

Instead of the BCS, it appears that it is the ESPNcs. What's even worse is
watching the coaches doing their best to lobby ESPN for their teams.

Everyone could save a lot of money just letting the ESPN college broadcast
group fill in the slots for the matchups that they would like to see.

OU gets screwed because of a loss in a game where they had to play their
second string QB even though they go out an beat #1 on the field. LSU gets
to leap from #7 to #2 because their sloppy play is excused by injuries to
their QB and their defensive star.

The BCS was supposed to take bias and emotion out of the decision making
process and replace it with on-field facts. Instead is has simply become a
thinly veiled vehicle for the big money interests in college football to
create the games that they think will generate the greatest viewer interest.
I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same.
