[NU Sports] OT: Chicago bid

Well, NU may have an obligation to make no little plans, but the Chicago Olympic Committee, Pat Ryan notwithstanding, has no obligation to make them on NU's behalf.  One of the challenges facing the committee is the number of new venues that will need to be constructed.   Basketball arenas we already have in good supply, between the United Center, Allstate Arena, and Chicago State's brand new facility.  It would be foolhardy for the Olympic committee to help finance a new basketball arena for NU.  Now, if NU were to decide to take action, I'm sure the Committee would consider its use.
