I personally haven't seen anything reported as coming out of the Trib Tower, but
Moronetty pretty well summed everything up earlier in the week with a column
about Joe G and the Cubs...[its in the alumni section of the Sports News Digest
or among his columns.]

Dusty Baker has been unable to get the Cubbies playing over their heads,
something they'll have to do to become more competitive.

The only problem Joe G would have is his connection to the Yankees, but nobody
has done as much with little this years as Girardi. He must have learned that at
NU?
