As one who has worked a lot of baseball and softball pressboxes, I've learned
that arguing balls and strikes with an umpire is a true waste of time and
effort.

If anything, the strike zone gets either larger or smaller depending on who's
pitcher is on the mound.

As a bench coach, I let the manager whine and cry - umps tend to take it better
from the team leader. You never let the players do it...
