[NU Sports] Doom and Gloom!

A lot of people are predicting doom and gloom for a cats in the big 
ten.

Don't they remember history?

We often look very poor in pre-season and have a good conference run.  
At the end of the year we look back at the blow non-cons with regret 
and what might have been -- '95, '96, '00, '04, '05, etc.

On the other hand many big ten teams look unstoppable against nowhere 
state yet they encounter the lowly cats on the tundra of ryan field 
and our cats not only stand their ground, but win the game.

Every year my wife and I make a bet.  If we go undefeated in 
conference I will dye my hair purple.  Well I know that is a safe bet 
as the Cats are slow starters.  However, once the big ten gets rolling 
we will have improved more than any of the other 10 teams.

Now I am not drinking the purple koolaid predicting a bowl game, but I 
think we could easily get 3 big ten wins.  Based on our non-conference 
results that would be quite remarkable if that weren't standard our 
modus operandi.
