I agree with the kudos to Notre Dame for not giving up and storming back to
win. I am not so confident that MSU will be an easy target for the Cats,
especially with the way we have been playing. Despite its fourth quarter
collapse, MSU is a much better team than any we have played this season. Indeed,
every Big Ten team (except perhaps Illinois but by game 12, they may be tough)
is better and we will have to raise our level of play substantially to win
even one more game. Starting with Penn State, which will be hungry for a W
after their own fourth quarter collapse.

My God, can MSU throw games away. I now have hope for our game vs. State,
as they make more mistakes than we could dream of. They can find more ways
to lose than any team I have ever seen. For those who watched tonight like I
did, can you imagine sitting there in a driving, windy squall only to see
your team "spit the bit" yet again (as George Steinbrenner would put it). If
we have been the "Cardiac 'Cats" for years, they have been the "Cardiac
Arrests" for their long-suffering fans. Kudos to ND (I know people on the list
will hate me for saying that.) for never giving up and for taking the game away
from Sparty. They deserved it, as they played the full 60 and MSU stopped
somewhere around 40.
