Interesting that if GB succeeded Fisher DeBerry, it would be one of the few transitions possible where GB would be considered a 'step-up', character-wise.

There were apparently rumors that he may replace Fisher DeBerry at Air 
Force once Fisher retires - they apparently have a good relationship 
(and Barnett previously coached at the Air Academy High School), see
