Incidentally, I was thinking that it might be an interesting idea to hire
Barnett as a co-offensive coordinator--we could use his exceptional X and O
ability and playcalling talent on offense--especially given that McGhee is
left without either Dunbar or Walker from whom to learn, but (a) I don't
know how comfortable Fitz would be with that arrangement, and (b) I imagine
Gary might only consider a head coaching position (pure speculation on my

He's a football analyst--I think for Fox Sports (Radio?).  I read an article
somewhere earlier this week relating to CU's horrible start and the author
asked Gary for comment.  His response was a pretty neutral one about it
obviously being a tough transition.  He was asked whether he wants to get
back into coaching, and he said something along the lines of fall being a
tough time for him [being out of coaching but wanting to be in, I suppose]
and that he will re-evaluate things at the end of the year to determine what
will be best for him.  -Joe
