[NU Sports] non-conference & bye week

Because all the other teams will be using that week to try and tack on
another win to become bowl eligible or earn some cash (probably the
biggest factor) by packing their home stadium or taking money to visit
someone else.
Personally, I think that a 10 game Big Ten schedule would be both fun
and would settle things on the field (instead of going to a conference
championship, which has little upside). The Pac-10 went to a 9 game
conf. schedule this year, and the BT had a 9 game conf. schedule into
the 80's I believe before they began the rotation.
