I agree with much of what has been said. It was a tough game to enjoy - two lackluster offenses battling for field position. But I'll take any win.
I would give Deante Battle a game ball - his tackle late in the game that popped the ball from the receiver brought the listless crowd to their feet, and his interception a little later sealed the game.
The offense needs to grow a lot, but I think Kafka shows some real promise - if he or Brewer break out this year we could be looking forward to several years of Sutton paired with a strong quarterback. Of course, I still have nightmares from the Gavin Hoffman year, so I tend to have rose colored glasses when it comes to quarterbacks. (Any quarterback not running the wrong way down the field is a good thing...)
