I could live with that too.:) But what Miami showed in
1995 is the same thing that UNH showed today - we're
never going to be a school that clobbers NC opponents.
We need to come prepared to play every week, Big Ten
or I-AA. We just don't have the FSU/Texas/USC talent
to take a week off and still whallop a I-AA or MAC
foe.

He had a lot of heart and poise ... but I didn't get
the "special" vibe off of him - unlike Roethlisberger
when he carved us up. But he's a gutsy leader -
reminded me of Zak Kustok. The shotgun snaps were low
a lot and he kept picking them nearly off the grass --
I kept waiting for a fumbled snap, but it wasn't to
be.

Yup - take away the two fumble gimme TDs and it's
anyone's game. And we had chance after chance in the
fourth. Oh well, with Baz we win this game easily but
with a new QB, our inexperience showed.

Well, our O-line did dominate the first half - we ran
it right down their throats. But they caught on to us
near the end of the half and our pass protection and
run blocking in the second half was poor.

Definitely - he was this/close on the missed TD pass.
I liked a lot of what I saw from him early - I really
hope he doesn't let this game shake him because I'm
liking him as our QB of the future.

Definitely. I dunno if we were evenly matched - we
should have won. But you take that inexperience at QB
and the two turnovers near the goal line and that's a
great equalizer.

Bounce back Cats!
