Nice interview and story there. And a class move by
the GaTech crowd to applaud when they came back from
the story to the live shot. Most locations you'd
probably have come back from a touching story like
that to a screaming crowd focused on their game only.
Now I'm really going to be cheering for the Yellow
Jackets tonight.

I know there must be a lot of emotions on the team
this year, but from every interview and from the game
Thursday, it appears that the coaches and senior
leaders have done an exceptional job of treating these
emotions with the reverence they deserve yet making
sure they are channeling that focus onto the football
field and not creating a distraction. I hope to see
that continue throughout the season. It really is a
tough task and I couldn't be more proud of our players
and coaches at this point. I'm sure Coach Walker was
beaming with pride at his kids and protege Thursday as
well.
