The weekend before Halloween didn't scare up the
standings much, but there are some big showdowns
coming up in November that could still flip the races
around a bit. To the honor roll ...

UNANIMOUS PICKS

* WISCONSIN over Illinois
* OHIO STATE over Minnesota

We had to sweat out the Badgers, but the Buckeyes
never looked threatened.

UPSET SPECIALS

* VIRGINIA TECH over Clemson: The wacky ACC continues
to provide the bulk of our upset specials this year.
The Gobbler triumph was predicted only by Bob Waldele,
Mike Whelan, Ace McInturff, Ray Stahl, Eric Steffe and
Clark Zahn.
