Can't say I disagree with anything you said, but I am trying to find the silver lining in a giant cloud of a season.

I hope you're right, and the Cats appeared to play a gutty game. But I am dubious that this game offered proof that we will have a good defense next season. (May I please be wrong.) I think what we saw today was an uninspired Michigan offense playing conservatively in deference to horrible weather conditions and a defense that knew it could stop us at will. Their DL was embarrassingly better than our OL.
