Standings will hopefully be out by tomorrow night, but
we have a big Thursday night showdown in the ACC so I

MY PICKS
========
* WISCONSIN 41, Illinois 10
C: The much-improved Badgers are rolling and the
Illini may be improved, but they're not up to winning
at Camp Randall yet.
* MICHIGAN STATE 30, Indiana 20
C: The Hoosiers will make it tough, but MSU will use
the momentum from last week to get up early and win.
* IOWA 23, Northern Illinois 16
C: The Hawks need a breather from the Big Ten, but the
Huskies won't be intimidated after playing well at the
Shoe earlier this season. Bumblebees survive a scare.
* OHIO STATE 34, Minnesota 7
C: Glen Mason's pulled off big upsets at Columbus and
Happy Valley in the past and the hard-luck Gophers are
due for a win ... but this is a pretty darn good
Buckeye team and they're not stumbling here.
* PENN STATE 27, Purdue 17
C: Good game and could be for a New Year's Day bowl
berth in Tampa, but JoePa's had Tiller's number more
than anybody and the Lions are underrated, losing only
to three pretty darn good teams this year.
* CLEMSON 38, Virginia Tech 30
C: Real dangerous game for the Tigers on a short week
here as Blacksburg is tough at night ... but it's a
new ACC this year and Clemson seems to be the cream of
the crop. Surviving at Tech would be a huge boost.
* FLORIDA 24, Georgia 3
C: One of these teams is legit, one is a major
pretender. Gators roll and Urban improves his record
against the Gator's big rivals to 5-0.
* TENNESSEE 21, South Carolina 10
C: Every game's a struggle in the SEC and this is a
dangerous trip for the Vols, but a late drive seals
the fate and Phat Phil gets some revenge on Spurrier.
* GEORGIA TECH 28, Miami 14
C: The Canes shouldn't have half their players on the
sidelines here and have become a joke both on the
field and in terms of a university running a football
program. Here's hoping the Jackets win by a hundred
over these tiresome thugs.
* MISSOURI 26, Oklahoma 21
C: Good game in the Big XII as the Sooners are still
adjusting to life without AP and the Tigers are still
adjusting to being a good team - Mizzou is fun to
watch and despite some errors, wins a big one at home.
And off the board ...
* MICHIGAN 34, Northwestern 7
C: C.J. is our answer at quarterback, but even Baz in
a sixth year would have trouble moving the ball
against Big Blue's defense. The #2 team in the country
rolls.
Remember, picks in by THURSDAY.
GO CATS!!!
