Have to agree about McGee. Fitz and McGee are growing with the job. We
need to have the patience to grow with them. CJ threw 3 TDs, and
Roberson threw one on a nice trick play. Had we seen any offense like
that in the seven previous games?

Colby may be another matter, however. Fitz is very big on loyalty. At
some point, he may need to put that future of the program ahead of
feelings of loyalty.

Can we win two more games? I don't know. But we do need to at least
finish the season with a victory in the 100th NU-UI matchup.

One more thing about Saturday: I listened to the game on WGN while I
was sitting in Notre Dame Stadium for the ND-UCLA game. I was
completely decked out in purple NU gear. The ND fans -- they still
remember '95, I'm pleased to report. Throughout the games, I was in
touch with my NU student daughter was who in the stands at Ryan. We
suffered together. Then, late that night, I watched as the NU and ND
games were the first two stories on ESPN Sportscenter. Tough to take.
