I'll allow that the Oklahoma program is higher profile than ours, but Cal has not been a perennial top-25 program. They haven't won the Pac-10 since Mike White tied for the Pac-8 title in 1975. Before that they last won a conference in 1958 when Pete Elliott won the PCC title. Before Jeff Tedford arrived in 2002 and brought winning seasons, Cal had managed only 4 winning seasons since 1980 (Joe Kapp 7-4 '82, Bruce Snyder 7-4-1 '90, 10-2 '91, Keith Gilbertson 9-4 '93).
Did Wilson or Dunbar ever go on the record explaining their reasons for leaving ? We need to be a place where veteran skilled assistants arrive at, not a place that they pass through.

Subject: Re: [NU Sports] Questions
Let's not start blaming our Administration. How can it only be money when the OC's went to Oklahoma and Cal, two Top-25 programs? Let's be realistic, those are high-profile Asst. Coaching Positions, much higher in profile than NU, like it or not, and much more of a launching pad to a HC Position.
