I'm not ready to jump all over Fitz yet, but honeymoons don't last forever.
The quarterback-superior play has become tiresome. It's time to go deeper.
It hasn't helped that the only QB with any experience began the season on
crutches. Kafka showed some flashes of ability during his stint, but
clearly Brewer should never take another snap from center. Make a wide
receiver out of him. Bacher must start next week. I am VERY concerned with
the play of the offensive line. I theorized last season that Basanez may
have made the offensive line look better than it was, but with five
returning starters (counting Trevor Rees) we should be getting much better
play from them this season. The number of missed blocks yesterday was
painful to behold. I actually pitied Desmond Taylor yesterday - while I was
swearing at him - but he wasn't alone, just the worst of the bunch.
