I wanted to let my list brethren know that our esteemed listmate and award
winning journalist Alan Abrahamson, has joined NBC Sports and NBCsports.com,
after 17 distinguished years at the Los Angeles Times.  We can look forward
to seeing Alan's brand of investigative reporting throughout NBC's broadcast
vehicles and internet site.  NBCsports.com has recently relaunched and Alan
is the keystone of their new initiatives.  Bookmark the site and return to
it often.

Alan has had several recent appearances on NBC Nightly News and we look
forward to seeing him often, especially in the run up to the 2008 Olympics.
As many of you know, Alan, by most accounts, is the world's leading
journalist on all things Olympic.  Those of you with an eye for detail will
also recall his frequent tv appearances during the last two Olympic games -
wearing Wildcat gear.

I am proud to have Alan as one of my best friends.  Please join me in
congratulating Alan on his exciting new role.
