[NU Sports] SC Game

I'm not sure if the Big Ten revenue sharing agreements are public knowledge,
but the TV contract (with ESPN/ABC) is equally split among all schools, and
I believe that after an allowance for bowl expenses, the remainder of the
bowl revenue is split evenly among schools.
Speaking of bowls, some of the bowl game shakeouts may be interesting since
there are so many bowl games this year (32 = 64 slots) and 6-6 teams are
eligible (if their conference has an available spot). Note that for
at-large bids, I believe that a team with a winning record must be picked
over a team with a .500 record (i.e. the open Motor City Bowl slot that the
Big Ten couldn't fill) - which means some lower tier conference teams with a
7-5 record may make it to bowl games over 6-6 big conference teams.
Also, since Texas lost it may be facing Iowa in the Alamo Bowl - since the
Oklahoma/Nebraska winner is off to a BCS game, the loser is probably headed
to the Holiday, and A&M is headed to the Cotton (most likely). A 6-6 Iowa
team in a relative tailspin versus a 9-3 Texas team that hasn't fallen that
far from the top may not be pretty.
