<Northeastern, Nevada, Horrific Duke (all at home) and Horrific Eastern
Michigan (at Ford Field) should mean 3-<1 or 4-0.

If we can't go 4 - 0 with that preseason schedule, we ought to pack it in.
We should kill at least three of the four if not all four. ("Should" as in
we are a Big 10 team and they are not, you know, like Rice, Wake Forest, Air
Force, Miami of Ohio, etc.) There was no excuse for losing to Nevada and
New Hampshire this year, and I doubt we would have with Bacher in the
lineup. NH later struggled with the likes of Hofstra, U Mass, and Rhode
Island, football powers none, for cryin' out loud. Having said that, we
have been predicting a clean preseason since we last beat Notre Dame, and it
hasn't happened yet. Next year is NOT a rebuilding season, though. We
bring back a pretty experienced team, possibly some freshman talent, and
with - hopefully - a stable coaching staff. (Any changes in that arena
would occur before spring anyway.)

Since I turned 60 today, I'd best not be too eager for next August. It's
time to stop wishing my life away. But I'll be rarin'!
