Okruch denied that he's looking to change and refuted all of the talk about him
not actually living in Champaign, etc.
Yes he is still friends with Fitz but he talked about finishing the job at
Illinois.
The Illinois D is playing better this year - they hold opponents to under 130.5
ypg rushing, the best in a long time. They held dOSU to 17 points, a lot better
than we did.
This is from the Illinois site
Defensive Cat 2005 Avg 2006 Avg Diff B10 Rank 2006 Difference
Scoring Defense 39.5 26.7 12.8 11th 8th +3
Rushing Defense 234.0 130.8 103.2 11th 5th +6
Passing Defense 235.3 174.4 60.9 5th 3rd +2
Total Defense 469.3 305.2 164.1 10th 5th +5
I'd say there a difference over last year.
NU is right behind IL in scoring defence [9th], we're 7th in passing defense,
8th against the rush. We're 8th in total defense. All of these numbers are also
better than last year.
