True - I think those early turnovers certainly decided
the game quickly, but we kept playing and showed that
we're a few mistakes away from hanging in there.

That was amazing. Like I said, he's not really the
blitzer Hudaifa was, more of a shutdown corner and
that's something that'd be HUGE for our defense to get
because we could then focus on the shutting down the
run more and more.

It seemed to me at first like Ginn spit at McManis
after that TD (but I didn't see any reaction from
McManis), so I guess it was just jawing. Still, you
could almost see the shock in Ginn's eyes that someone
-- especially someone from NU -- could stay with him
in single coverage on the previous plays so he was
celebrating the TD more than he would a usual six.
The Sweet Sioux game should be real interesting.
Purdue really exposed the Illini running defense with
their two-back sets out of the shotgun. Juice and
Pierre are going to give us fits, but our running game
will give them fits. Could be a high scoring run-fest
as in recent years with turnovers being the biggest
deciding factor. Here's hoping McManis can snag a few
of the Illini freshman's passes.
GO CATS!!! BEAT ILLINOIS!!!
