Good point - I was amazed by that score as well. In a
normal year, Wake Forest, Maryland and GaTech would be
the talk of the country. But with Rutgers and Arkansas
starting to get some notice, forget about it!
And watching Miami and Florida State just
self-destruct this year after years of bending every
rule, cutting every corner and hitting to the echo of
every whistle with rules for "international players,"
it's nice to see some of these ACC teams stand up to
their perennial bullies and give them some payback!

Heck, I expect him to be running out of the tunnel for
the home finale!:) But yeah, it'll take a miracle to
keep him away from Beaver Stadium for the finale and a
probable berth in the Outback Bowl.
BTW, Penn State's offense has been frustrating this
year with a new QB and mistakes, but they really
haven't fallen far. Their four losses? A combined 41-2
this year and those two losses were both to Michigan.
> Indiana and Minnesota both need to win their finales
> (against Purdue and
I think Minny gets the win the way Iowa's flopping to
the finish and the Gophers waking up after a
disastrous start to the season. Indiana is a bigger
question. They're capable of beating Purdue and if the
game comes down to a kick, I like the Hoosiers ... but
they might pack it in as well.

And two almost certainly will make the BCS, so the
folks in Phoenix and Detroit may be looking for other
leagues to fill the games.
But what speaks for the depth of the league -- even in
a year like this -- is that we have 8 teams going into
the final game bowl eligible or playing to be bowl
eligible ... and the other three teams weren't that
far away. MSU - as we all know - self-imploded and
with a new coach next year, may actually figure out
how to finish a season. And Illinois and NU are both
improving teams who -- had they gotten a few breaks
earlier in the year with the Illini's close losses and
NU having a healthy Bacher -- might be playing for a
bowl berth in Evanston this weekend as well.
