[NU Sports] The Deadly McManis

There have been some comparisons of McManis to Ismaeli.  Ismaeli's only 
really great year was '95 when Barnett put him in an experienced secondary 
and assigned him the duty of creating havoc all over the field.  He was a 
wild card that had to have concerned opponents.  Once ensconced at 
cornerback, though, his effectiveness diminished because he wasn't a great 
cover man, exhibited by the fact that he never had an NFL career.  McManis 
is already the best NU cornerback I can recall.  He made some NFL-caliber 
cover plays yesterday against a quality receiving corps.  We need more 
players like Sherrick McManis.
