[NU Sports] looks like another great hoops season ...

I share your concern, but wanted to point out that Carmody's teams always
seem to start slow and give away 1-2 wins in Nov/Dec that usually come back
to haunt them when it comes to post-season play. Examples would be the
UNC-Wilmington and DePaul losses from last year, or the Utah State loss in
2004. Perhaps it has something to do with the complexity of the offense.

>From the AP:
"Sophomore Adam Gore led Cornell in a 64-61 win over
Northwestern on Friday night for the Big Red's first
victory against a Big Ten team in nearly 40 years."
Oh goodie.
This latest disaster is to a non-scholarship team, at
home, and a traditionally weak Ivy program.
Yes, I know the team is young, new players, etc. etc.,
etc. But this suggests massive improvement will be
necessary to win just a few games against anybody,
much less in the Big Ten.
